The Wootton and Dry Sandford Community Centre (WADS CC)

Please access all the Community Centre pages by using the “WADS CC” menu above.

Following a major redevelopment, the Wootton & Dry Sandford Community Centre was re-opened in April 2010. This was made possible by a large grant from the Big Lottery, grants from Oxfordshire County Council, Vale of White Horse District Council and various organisations and local businesses, with numerous donations from members of the community.

The centre now boasts a main hall with stage, three function rooms, two kitchens, football pitch with new changing facilities, a multi-user floodlit games area and toddlers play area. A branch of the North Abingdon Children’s Centre (a member of the government’s SureStart programme) and a Neighbourhood Police Office occupy further areas in the building.   All of the function rooms offer ground floor access for disabled visitors.

Whether you are planning a wedding reception, family or child’s party, club, social or business meeting, or a sports activity, Wootton & Dry Sandford Community Centre is perfect for your needs.

Local residents of Wootton, Dry Sandford and Shippon enjoy preferential hiring rates.  To book an event here use the menu on the top left to pick the hiring page.

A wide variety of regular activities take place at the centre, from coffee mornings to Bingo, exercise classes to bridge, indoor bowls to dance classes.
