A Tour of the Universe with Val Calderbank
Valerie is back by popular demand having spoken to us last June when her talk was entitled, “Observing the Universe”. Valerie decided to take up astronomy, initially as a hobby, in 2007. She was later appointed a fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society in February 2011 on the recommendation of Sir Patrick Moore.
This time her talk will take you on a fascinating journey around our beautiful universe from the Solar System out to the Milky Way and beyond. Her talk will be illustrated with stunning images and video clips. Those of you that attended last year know how good the talk was and this one will be as equally exciting; if you are free on the evening of 10th March do come along, you won’t be disappointed!
At 7.30pm at Shippon Church Hall.
Members free – Visitors £3.00
